Come this Monday the office will feel a emptier, quieter and less cheerful.
There will be no-one raising the blinds at the front before saying hello.
No one to race against for the coffee machine and the wood polish
No one to fill the room with animated accounts of what had happened last night
No one who would listen quite as attentively to myself sharing similar accounts-
No more crazy mixed up conversations about movies, anime and some philosophical topic that just came up...
No head popping into the back office to say goodbye before leaving.
Come this Monday- we will be without Zoe.
Few people in this world have the gift to be so confident without making others feel inferior,
or to live life to the fullest and make the best of every moment given to them on earth.
It is really a blessing to have had someone who shows interest in what matters to you, gets to know more about you than most people and not use it against you.
Even before I started at Eunanda Fourie Inc. this animated receptionist struck me as the life of the office. Chatting with her was always a pleasure and her kindness and compassion never faded. I trust that it never will.
Knowing Zoe is really a privilege.
She is really unlike anyone that we are likely to meet in future-
Strong, but not a bully,
Confident, and considerate,
enthusiastic, yet responsible
intelligent, but easy to chat with
funny, yet wise
beautiful, but definitely not just a pretty face...
Zoe- if anyone in the world ever deserved this break it is you.
Go- seize it and live your life as beautifully and interesting as only you can.
I- like the rest of us here at the office, I'm sure, will miss you dearly.
God speed, friend :)
